A star-studded list of authors headlined the East Hampton Library benefit on Saturday, August 8 including Ed Burns, Katie Lee, Marc Murphy, Nelson DeMille, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer, and Pansy the Poodle’s own Cynthia Bardes – all whom signed copies of their books at Authors Night. In her second appearance at the event, Bardes and Pansy enjoyed newfound friends while showcasing and signing the series’ third adventure, the soon-to-be released “Pansy in Venice.” The children’s book proved a hit, selling out on both days and introducing new readers to the history and vibrance of Italy — all through the sleuthing pup’s excited eyes.
Bardes also showcased the newest addition to her growing brand, a plush Pansy to accompany the reader on their adventures — now available exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman. The soft, stuffed toy animal is a perfect companion for any child!
Author’s Night was co-founded in 2005 by actor Alec Baldwin, also serving as co-chair of the event, and has grown to be the premier literary event of the Hamptons with 100 authors and more than 1,000 people in attendance. The accompanying Children’s Fair provides an entertaining day for families to discover new literary heroes while also raising funds for the East Hampton library.
